Runway releases Composer Pro with timeline-aware video LLMs
Tech · 5 min read
Runway launched Composer Pro, which leverages timeline-aware video language models to suggest edits, transitions, and captions that respect the overall narrative structure of a sequence. The model analyzes temporal context and can recommend pacing changes, B-roll placements, and color grade presets.
Composer Pro integrates with common NLE export pipelines and allows designers to accept automated edits or to use suggestions as creative starting points. The tool also provides versioned 'edit layers' so teams can experiment non-destructively and compare alternative cuts.
Runway emphasizes fast iteration and collaborative features, such as shared comments tied to model suggestions, which helps cross-functional teams review motion prototypes faster. The company plans to add enterprise governance controls for brand-safe content and compliance checks.
