Runway updates GenStudio with UI-aware video prompting for micro-interactions

GenStudio's update targets the gap between static prototypes and interactive motion by letting designers input a frame, text brief, and timing constraints to generate short, loopable micro-interaction videos. Outputs include layered timelines and keyframe suggestions compatible with After Effects and Framer.

The model accounts for tokenized motion properties and can sync generated animations with declared design tokens like easing curves and duration scales. Designers can export the timeline as adjustable keyframes or as a lightweight JSON animation manifest for runtime playback.

Motion designers say the feature speeds exploration and helps non-specialists validate interaction intent. Runway warned that generated motion should still be refined by animators for production-level polish.
