Samsung unveils Galaxy Tab Fold with tablet-first foldable UI and pen-first tools

Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab Fold, a large foldable tablet that opens to a near-square canvas and ships with a redesigned One UI tailored for creative workflows. The device includes new multitouch gestures, modular side panels for docked tools, and pen-first features for sketching, annotation, and responsive layout testing.
Samsung partnered with major creative app vendors to optimize their interfaces for the larger, flexible display, and included hardware improvements such as a low-latency S Pen and haptic feedback tuned for drawing. The Tab Fold also supports desktop-class multitasking with window snapping and resizable app groups.
Samsung highlights the Tab Fold as a bridge between mobile portability and desktop-level creative tooling, pitching it to designers, illustrators, and product teams who need a portable but spacious canvas. Preorders open this month, with enterprise leasing options for creative agencies.
