Satori Games announced an $18 million seed round led by IndieSeed and released the first early access SDK for Mythos Engine, their lightweight engine tailored for narrative-driven multiplayer experiences. Mythos emphasizes storytelling tools, deterministic network playback for synchronous scenes, and a content pipeline that accelerates iteration between writers, designers, and artists.
The engine targets small to mid-size studios seeking to ship story-rich multiplayer games without the overhead of larger middleware. Features include node-based narrative scripting, versioned dialogue systems, and built-in save-replay systems that support asynchronous player reconnection during shared scenes.
Satori will use the seed capital to expand tooling, invest in cloud-hosted test environments, and build a marketplace of narrative modules. The company hopes Mythos Engine will lower the barrier for ambitious narrative multiplayer experiments among indie teams.
