ScoutUI raises $15M and launches InspectFlow for automated design-to-dev handoffs

ScoutUI announced a $15M Series A led by BetaWorks and launched InspectFlow, a tool that synthesizes component attributes (CSS variables, ARIA roles, animation timing) from design files and generates a living spec that syncs with code repositories. ScoutUI pitches InspectFlow as a way to reduce ambiguous handoffs and implementation drift.

InspectFlow includes change diffs, automatic test generation for visual regressions, and a compliance checker for accessibility standards. It integrates with popular design tools as well as CI/CD pipelines so design changes trigger code review requests and visual snapshots.

ScoutUI will use funding to extend framework-specific export tooling (React, Vue, SwiftUI), enhance support for design tokens and theming, and expand its enterprise documentation features. Early customers reported a 35% reduction in time spent clarifying design intent with engineering.
