Scriptly raises $5M seed to launch a collaborative script and narrative design tool

Scriptly provides a visual story graph editor, scene timeline controls, and branching dialogue simulation with playtesting tools. Voiceover integration allows writers to attach placeholder audio and test pacing immediately in-editor.

The seed was led by Storyline Ventures and will fund additional collaboration features, tighter game-engine exports, and AI-assisted consistency checks for character voice and continuity. Scriptly aims to be the bridge between writers and implementation teams.

Narrative designers who tested Scriptly praised the clarity of versioned branches and the ease of exporting to engines, though they requested more nuanced tools for non-linear emergent narratives. Scriptly plans to add constraint-based authoring and conditional triggers to support complex narrative systems.
