Seed AI raises $28M to launch Palette — a generative UX kit for product teams

Seed AI today announced a $28 million Series A led by Index Ventures, with participation from a16z and several designer angels. The startup says it will use the funds to ramp up engineering and expand integrations across design and frontend stacks.

Palette, the product debuting from Seed AI, is positioned as a bridge between designers and engineers: designers upload Figma frames and describe intent, and Palette generates accessible HTML/CSS, React components, and design tokens tuned to a team's style guide. The company claims this reduces handoff time by up to 60% in early trials.

Early customers include two mid‑market SaaS companies and a global ecommerce brand that say Palette shortened sprint cycles and cut CSS inconsistencies. Seed AI also announced a public beta scheduled for Q4 2026 and an enterprise SDK for custom component libraries.
