SentryPlay secures $35M to launch anti-toxicity tooling for live games

SentryPlay announced a $35 million Series B round to scale its real-time moderation and player-experience tooling for live games. The platform combines automated toxicity detection with gameplay-aware overlays that let designers tune cooldowns, muting flows, and rehabilitation prompts without redeploys.

A key feature is a rules engine that ties moderation actions to in-game UX: if a player receives multiple chat warnings, SentryPlay can trigger experience-restricting but onboarding-focused interventions like guided tutorials or temporary matchmaking smoothing. The system logs decisions for audit and supports human-in-the-loop review.

Funds will expand global moderation coverage, add deeper integration with voice comms, and refine designer tooling that simulates interventions during playtests. Studios running pilots reported decreased report volumes and improved retention among new players when the platform was active.
