SignalFrame secures $35M to commercialize a decentralized network for live game voice chat
Gaming · 4 min read
SignalFrame's network uses peer relays and lightweight edge brokers to route voice streams with minimal hops. The company claims latency improvements of up to 40% versus centralized voice servers and a pricing model that benefits developers with variable peaks.
The round was led by Union Square Ventures with participation from several game studios. SignalFrame will invest in network capacity, moderation features, and SDKs for consoles and mobile.
Early integrations with two battle royale titles resulted in lower voice packet loss during high‑concurrency matches. SignalFrame is offering pilot credits to studios interested in reducing voice costs and improving in‑match social features.
