Sketch 2026 update brings AI vector cleanup and smart layout suggestions
Design · 4 min read
The vector cleanup tool analyzes stroke data and simplifies paths while preserving visual fidelity, which reduces SVG sizes and speeds up export pipelines. Designers can review suggested reductions and revert aggressive optimizations, giving control back to the author.
Smart layout suggestions analyze component relationships and propose constraint changes, token mappings, and responsive behaviors when text or image content changes. Sketch integrated these suggestions with its Libraries feature so system maintainers can accept bulk updates across multiple files.
Sketch also improved its plugin SDK to make it easier to add bespoke AI transformations, and it announced partnerships with third-party model providers for teams that want specialized cleanup rules. The update is available to subscribers and includes a migration guide for large design libraries.
