Sketch adds vector-stable AI to propose precision layout suggestions

The new vector-stable engine analyzes layer geometry and constraint relationships to recommend micro-adjustments such as baseline grid snaps, optical spacing corrections, and symbol normalization. Unlike raster-based tools, it preserves vector paths and curve fidelity while suggesting changes.

Designers can preview proposed tweaks and apply them individually or in batch, with an 'explain' mode that surfaces the geometric rationale behind each recommendation. Sketch notes the AI is tuned to respect designer intent and will avoid changes that could break established interaction metaphors.

Plugin developers can access the engine via a public API to integrate the suggestions into automated quality checks and CI pipelines for design assets. Sketch says the goal is to reduce repetitive micro-tasks while keeping designers in control of final outcomes.
