Sketch announced a $30 million growth financing to invest in its design tokens system, plugin ecosystem, and deeper integration with developer toolchains. The company will focus on token synchronization, cross-platform scaling, and improved export fidelity for mobile and web frameworks.
Planned investments include a remote-first collaboration layer, stronger governance controls for component libraries, and APIs that push tokens directly into CI/CD pipelines. Sketch aims to simplify handoffs by ensuring design intent is preserved as components move into engineering environments.
The round is intended to help Sketch compete on enterprise features while retaining its lightweight, designer-friendly footprint. Executives said the funding will speed roadmap items that large customers have requested, particularly around scale and governance.
