Sketch debuts Sketch Studio for real-time prototyping with embedded testing

Sketch Studio is a new addition to the Sketch app that transforms static prototypes into instrumented, testable experiences. Designers can now insert micro-experiments—A/B overlays, conditional flows, and event hooks—then run moderated or unmoderated tests without exporting to third-party platforms.
The platform captures granular telemetry like micro-interaction timings, gesture friction, and gaze-path proxies (from webcam-enabled studies), giving teams early quantifiable signals for design trade-offs. Sketch integrated these metrics into component libraries so teams can flag high-friction elements automatically.
Sketch Studio will be available as part of the enterprise subscription initially, with a community edition planning to arrive next year. The company framed the move as collapsing handoffs between design, research, and product for firms shipping faster.
