Sketch introduces Constraint Whisperer: AI-suggested layout constraints

Sketch's new Constraint Whisperer scans your document, detects repeating layout patterns and component behavior, then proposes constraint rules compatible with each component's intended responsive behavior. Suggestions appear inline and can be accepted, rejected, or refined.

Designers working on multi-breakpoint prototypes will find Whisperer useful for quickly establishing consistent behavior for grids, buttons, and content cards. The tool also flags potential constraint conflicts and highlights where manual overrides are likely needed for edge cases.

Sketch plans to surface Constraint Whisperer recommendations in batch operations so teams can apply system-wide constraint rules. The company emphasizes that suggestions are non-destructive and reversible, aligning with Sketch’s focus on clarity and designer control.
