Sketch introduces VectorFill: generative vector patches and context-aware fills

VectorFill can generate seamless patterns, icon variants and scalable decorative elements that match a design’s existing stroke and color semantics. Sketch positioned this as an augmentation to its vector toolset rather than a replacement, emphasizing designers retain full control of paths and anchors.

The tool includes a smart patching system to repair or extend existing shapes while preserving constraints and corner treatments. Sketch also built export paths to ensure generated vectors can be converted to platform-ready asset pipelines without manual rework.

VectorFill is available in the latest Sketch release and comes with a collection of starter templates and presets for different brand styles. Sketch encourages plugin developers to integrate the feature into component libraries and design-system workflows.
