SketchCloud Launches Offline-First Desktop App and Figma Importer
Design · 4 min read
SketchCloud announced a desktop client that supports offline editing, local change queues, and conflict-free merging when reconnecting, addressing a common pain point for designers working on planes and in low-connectivity settings. The app maintains versioning and collaborative comments that sync once users are back online.
The Figma importer translates components, constraints, and variants into SketchCloud’s format, preserving tokens and naming conventions where possible. The import tool aims to smooth migration for teams looking to reduce platform costs or pursue alternative workflows.
COO Leena Park said the release targets agencies and distributed teams that need resilient workflows and better data portability. SketchCloud also introduced enterprise controls for access, audit logs, and single-sign-on integrations.
