Smart LOD analyzes geometry, UV layouts, and material complexity to generate multiple LODs with consistent silhouette and preserved texture fidelity. It also creates optimized normal and ambient occlusion maps to maintain perceived detail at lower poly counts. Outputs are packaged for smooth runtime transitions on web viewers.

The feature integrates with Sketchfab's embedding settings, letting creators choose automatic scaling behavior based on device class or bandwidth. Developers can also tweak switch distances and quality thresholds to balance fidelity with load times.
