SketchFlow unveils a collaborative whiteboarding tablet optimized for designers

SketchFlow revealed its first hardware product: a 13-inch pen-and-touch tablet built specifically for sketching, wireframing, and rapid prototyping. The device runs a lightweight design OS that prioritizes latency, pressure sensitivity, and seamless sync to major design tools.

The company also closed a $12 million seed round led by Studio Ventures to fund manufacturing and a developer program. SketchFlow's OS supports plugin extensions, gesture shortcuts for designers, and a 'versioned canvas' feature that records design iterations as discrete checkpoints for easy playback and review.

Designers praised the focus on ergonomics and a pen technology that claims sub-1ms latency and better tilt response than mainstream tablets. SketchFlow emphasized integration with Figma, Adobe XD, and an open API for custom toolchains, enabling teams to incorporate the tablet into existing workflows with minimal friction.

Preorders begin this month with a limited edition run of 5,000 units for early adopters. The startup plans a designer fellowship to seed tool integrations and expects to ship to backers in Q1 2027.
