SketchGrid launches offline-first UX research app and raises $4.5M seed

SketchGrid’s app captures interview notes, annotated screenshots and audio, then syncs automatically when connectivity returns. Built-in templates guide researchers through moderated and unmoderated sessions while preserving metadata for tagging and synthesis.

The app supports encrypted local storage and enterprise key management for sensitive user research datasets. Collaboration features include shared session playback and a clip-export workflow to speed stakeholder reviews.

Seed funding came from design-focused angels and a productivity software fund. SketchGrid will use funds to polish mobile UI, add integrations with popular analysis tools, and build an on-premises variant for high-compliance customers.
