Sketchlight Raises $8M Seed to Debut Low-Code AR UX Builder for Retail

Sketchlight announced an $8 million seed round led by RetailTech Ventures and launched a beta of its low-code AR UX builder for brick-and-mortar retailers. The tool enables designers and merchandisers to prototype in-store overlays, product information callouts, and dynamic navigation paths tied to inventory.

The platform supports visual scripting for interactions and connectors to POS and analytics systems so AR experiences can show real-time stock, promotions, and dynamic pricing. Sketchlight emphasizes privacy-preserving localization and on-device rendering to keep latency low and data out of the cloud when necessary.

Funds will be used to expand templates for retail scenarios, grow partnerships with headset and smartphone vendors, and pilot projects with mid-size retailers testing hybrid online/offline shopping journeys.
