SketchMate raises $7M to launch collaborative prototyping for mobile gestures

SketchMate announced a $7 million seed round and released GestureLab, a tool that enables teams to prototype and test mobile gestures and micro-interactions across real devices. Designers can record gesture flows, tweak motion curves, and distribute interactive prototypes to testers.
GestureLab supports precise timing controls, haptic previews, and conditional gesture variants (e.g., pressure-sensitive or multi-finger). It integrates with user testing platforms to gather qualitative and quantitative feedback on discoverability and usability.
The startup will use funds to scale device farms, add accessibility testing for motor impairments, and build plugins for major design apps. Early customers report faster consensus on gesture affordances and fewer late-stage UX reversals.
