SketchStack raises $20M to launch collaborative generative modeling for 3D product design
Design · 5 min read
SketchStack announced a $20 million Series A led by Foundry Partners and released a collaborative generative modeling workspace that helps designers iterate on functional product geometries. The workspace combines constraint-based parametrics, topology optimization, and learned priors so teams can explore variants that meet strength, manufacturability, and aesthetic constraints.
SketchStack integrates with CAD pipelines and supports export to standard formats. Designers can seed a concept, ask the system to optimize for weight or cost, and receive multiple vetted design candidates with annotations on tradeoffs.
The capital will grow R&D for simulation-augmented models, build enterprise collaboration features, and certify the tool for regulated industries. Early customers in consumer electronics and sporting goods reported faster concept cycles and fewer costly engineering change orders downstream.
