Sketch-to-code startups get a boost as GitHub Copilot Studio adds UX-targeted codegen

Copilot Studio's UX-targeted codegen analyzes design snippets and includes accessibility-first patterns in the generated code. Output now prioritizes semantic elements, keyboard focus behavior, and mobile responsiveness, reducing the manual corrections needed after export.

The studio also added connectors for popular design tools so code generation can inherit tokens and component metadata directly. Developers can fine-tune generation by providing style guides and constraints to the model, which improves alignment with team standards.

Startups offering sketch-to-code services said the update makes generated prototypes closer to production-ready components, accelerating early-stage product development. GitHub highlighted that this is part of a broader push to make AI-assisted code generation more reliable for UI teams.
