SketchWave debuts AI-assisted prototyping plugin and raises $11M seed

SketchWave's plugin analyzes wireframes and applies smart interactions, adaptive layouts, and microinteraction suggestions to produce high-fidelity prototypes that run in the designer's tool of choice. It also exports storyboards and user flows to streamline handoffs to PMs and engineers.

The seed round of $11 million, backed by Foundry Collective and design-focused angels, will be used to improve interaction models, add team collaboration features, and expand the library of platform-specific component behaviors. SketchWave highlighted its approach of generating suggested interactions while keeping final control with designers.

Design leaders welcomed the potential to accelerate validation cycles, particularly for feature-rich mobile experiences. The company plans to add testing hooks to measure prototype click-throughs and funnel drop-offs as part of upcoming releases.
