SketchWave raises $18M to expand collaborative vector design suite

SketchWave, a collaborative vector design startup, announced an $18 million Series A led by Index Ventures with participation from True Ventures and existing angel investors. The company plans to invest in file sync reliability, offline editing, and a plugin ecosystem.

At the same time, SketchWave launched SketchWave Teams, a subscription tier with centralized asset libraries, permission controls, and Figma-compatible import/export. The company highlighted use cases in product design, UI icon libraries, and marketing teams that require strict brand governance.

SketchWave also introduced a performance mode that reduces memory footprint for massive canvases and previews a new component system that enables nested, versioned components for large design systems.
