SketchWise launches live collaboration canvas with AI-guided critiques

SketchWise, a collaborative whiteboard and prototyping tool, launched Live Canvas with built-in AI critiques that surface UX issues and improvement suggestions in real time. Designers can toggle critique levels—usability, accessibility, brand consistency—and receive prioritized action items during sessions.

The feature combines heuristics, pattern-recognition models and a human-curated rule set to produce suggestions that surface likely pain points (low contrast, poor target sizes, ambiguous labels) and propose alternatives that can be inserted with one click. The company highlights the tool as a way for distributed teams to align faster during design sprints.

SketchWise also announced a $12 million extension to its Series A to accelerate AI research and deepen integration with design platforms like Figma and Adobe XD. Early adopters report fewer design review rounds and faster handoffs to engineering.
