Skyline Robotics raises $38M and debuts autonomous cinematography platform

Skyline Robotics unveiled a platform that orchestrates fleets of cinematography drones, combining AI-based shot planning, collision avoidance, and cinematographer-directed style parameters. The system generates shot lists and autonomous flight plans that can be edited in a visual timeline.

The company secured $38 million in Series B funding led by North Ridge to scale hardware integration, pursue BVLOS certifications in target markets, and add features for multi-camera synchrony. Skyline’s approach lowers operator burden and makes complex aerial choreography accessible to smaller crews.

Production houses piloting the platform reported savings on crew costs and faster location turnarounds. Skyline plans to introduce tethered drone support for urban shoots and enterprise pricing tailored to studios and event producers.
