Skyline Robotics raises $42M to launch AssembleOS, automating post-production for VFX pipelines

Skyline Robotics launched AssembleOS, an orchestration platform for VFX and post-production that automates rendering jobs, normalizes asset dependencies, and routes frames to reviewers for approval. AssembleOS integrates with common compositing and 3D packages, enabling studios to scale render capacity in the cloud while maintaining strict version control.
The $42 million round was led by True Ventures and will be used to expand render farm connectors, add fine-grained cost controls, and build collaboration features that suit global post teams. Skyline emphasized the platform's ability to reduce manual coordination around dependencies that typically slow down deliverables.
Studios piloting AssembleOS reported lower turnaround times and clearer responsibility mapping across artists and supervisors. Skyline plans to add automated optimization for cost vs. deadline trade-offs and a marketplace for prebuilt pipeline steps.
