SkyPort raises $22M to launch modular drone docking and charging stations

SkyPort's docking units provide automated landing, hot-swap battery modules, and an API for fleet orchestration. The product is designed to be deployed on rooftops and street-level micro-hubs, promising shorter turnaround times for last-mile deliveries and continuous operation for inspection drones.

The new capital will expand manufacturing, push certifications for urban deployments, and fund software efforts around fleet scheduling and UX dashboards for operators. Bessemer led the Series A alongside strategic logistics partners.

SkyPort is also releasing a lightweight operator console aimed at UX teams managing heterogeneous drone fleets, exposing telemetry for design research into operator workflows, and enabling designers to prototype human-in-the-loop interactions for drone dispatch and recall.
