SnapGrid unveils Layout AI, a Figma plugin that auto-optimizes responsive grids
Design · 3 min read
SnapGrid released Layout AI, a plugin that analyzes design components and content to propose responsive grid systems and breakpoint rules that minimize reflow and overflow issues. The tool provides tokenized grid outputs that teams can sync into design systems and codebases.
Layout AI evaluates typographic scale, content density and image ratios, then suggests column counts, gutters and container widths tailored to a project’s needs. It also simulates dynamic content scenarios—like translated strings—and highlights potential clipping or overflow risks.
SnapGrid is offering a free tier for small teams and an enterprise plan with design-system syncing and CLI exports for integration into build pipelines. The company says Layout AI reduces layout iteration cycles by enabling designers and developers to converge on consistent grid rules earlier in the process.
