SonicFrame raises $14M and launches procedural audio engine for games

SonicFrame’s procedural audio engine composes adaptive music and generates contextual sound effects based on game state, player actions, and environmental parameters. The engine integrates with existing audio middleware and offers an authoring tool for composers to define motifs, transitions, and parameter mappings.

The company announced a $14 million round led by Meridian Ventures to expand plugins for Unreal and Unity and to license sound libraries from established composers. SonicFrame aims to reduce repetitive audio cues and create music that reacts more organically to emergent gameplay.

Early trials in racing and stealth titles reported higher player immersion and lower repetitive sound fatigue. SonicFrame plans to add cloud-based rendering for low-end devices and collaborative composer workflows.
