Sparrow Labs launches PaletteAI: on-device color and layout assistant for Figma

Sparrow Labs released PaletteAI, a plugin that runs locally inside Figma to suggest color palettes, contrast improvements, and responsive layout tweaks. By performing inference on-device, the plugin addresses enterprise privacy concerns and allows designers to iterate without uploading sensitive assets.

PaletteAI analyzes existing design tokens, brand guidelines, and content hierarchy to propose alternatives that meet WCAG thresholds. It also offers a “brand-consistent” toggle that keeps the same visual tone while improving accessibility.

The company highlighted that on-device inference reduces latency during creative exploration, enabling rapid A/B of visual options. PaletteAI will be offered with per-seat enterprise licensing, and Sparrow Labs plans integrations with design-system repositories for automatic token syncing.
