Spektral raises $40M and launches DesignerGPT for visual content generation

DesignerGPT generates images, icons, and component-ready assets that are aware of layout constraints such as padding, aspect ratio, and responsive breakpoints. Outputs are delivered as editable SVGs and layered PSD/FIG files to preserve designer control.

The $40 million Series B will fund model research into layout-aware generation, partnerships with major design platforms, and enterprise-grade versioning. Spektral emphasizes ethical sourcing and transparency in training data, offering provenance metadata with generated assets.

Design teams reported that DesignerGPT speeds up ideation and reduces repetitive asset creation but stressed the importance of finals being editable. Spektral’s roadmap includes deeper plugin integrations with leading design tools and advanced asset governance.
