Spline Labs debuts 'Spline Live Components' to export interactive 3D UI into apps

Live Components are authored in Spline and exported with runtime libraries that handle animations, input and state synchronization. The team focused on a small footprint to keep embeds performant and to allow designers to maintain control over appearance and behavior.
Spline also released a design-to-code pipeline that generates scaffolding for React, SwiftUI and Android Compose, ensuring components respect native input modalities and accessibility. The system supports dynamic tokens so themes can be applied at runtime.
Early partners in retail and automotive are experimenting with product configurators and in-app product demos that previously required high engineering investment. Spline's approach reduces iteration time for these experiences.
Designers noted that while 3D UIs remain niche for most products, embeddable interactive components lower the barrier for experimentation and make it easier to evaluate ROI on spatial interactions.
