Stability AI introduces MotionStudio for microinteraction and Lottie animation generation

MotionStudio generates microinteractions—button presses, toggles, loaders—based on short textual prompts or example frames and outputs vector-friendly animation data compatible with Lottie. Stability emphasized that generated animations are tweakable and use keyframe-friendly parameterizations to ease designer control.

The company demonstrated integration with major design tools and code export for web and mobile platforms, allowing teams to prototype and ship polished motion quickly. MotionStudio also includes an editor that visualizes timing curves and interaction triggers, making it straightforward to tune accessibility-friendly motion (reduced motion, adjusted durations).

Stability rolled MotionStudio out as a beta API and a desktop app; the company is exploring licensing for studios that need fine-grained control over generated motion styles and IP provenance for animation assets.
