Stability AI open-sources StablePalette 2 for controllable image-to-image and UI skinning

StablePalette 2 expands on the original architecture with stronger color-preservation modules and latent conditioning that accepts design tokens such as color variables and typography hints.
Designers can feed a base mockup and a token set to generate consistent skins across screens, assets, and marketing materials. The model supports both photoreal and stylized outputs and includes a reference-guided mode for brand adherence.
Stability AI also released a plugin for major design tools that exposes token-controlled sliders and batch processing for whole design systems. The open-source release aims to let studios run large-scale brand restyling without vendor lock-in.
Community contributions are already appearing: presets for common brand palettes, accessibility-aware contrast modes, and export scripts that map outputs back to CSS variables and component stylesheets.
