Stability and Adobe Collaborate on New 'Trust Labels' for Generated Design Assets
Design · 4 min read
The new labeling schema attaches machine-readable metadata to generated files — including model name, seed, prompt, license assertion, and an optional 'human-curated' tag. Adobe and Stability expect these labels to help designers and legal teams audit assets and ensure compliance with brand and external IP policies.
Partners in the collaboration include tool vendors and enterprise customers who have been requesting consistent provenance to reduce legal friction when using generated imagery or components. The labels are designed to be embedded in file formats like SVG, PSD, and JSON-based design tokens.
The initiative is voluntary and focused on interoperability. Adobe and Stability say they will publish a reference implementation and encourage other vendors to adopt the schema to create a more transparent design generation ecosystem.
