Stability Labs releases Inspector SDK for model-aided design debugging
Tech · 4 min read
Inspector SDK exposes a standardized trace format for model-driven edits: it captures the prompt, model version, intermediate tokens, and a sequence of edit operations. This makes it easier for designers and reviewers to replay and audit generative steps, helping teams understand and approve automated changes.
SDK integrations for Figma and proprietary design platforms allow the inspector to attach traces to layers or artboards, so a generated rewrite of a button or icon includes a compact history that can be expanded in-place. Stability Labs says the approach reduces confusion about why a generator made a particular stylistic choice and simplifies rollback when outputs are undesirable.
The SDK is open-source and meant to encourage ecosystem-wide standards for model transparency in creative tooling. Stability hopes contributors will add adapters for other model formats and UI clients, creating an interoperable way to track AI influence in design artifacts.
