StormGrid Raises $130M to Scale Cloud Gaming Edge Network and Launch Developer Tools

StormGrid announced a $130 million growth round led by Latency Capital to expand its low-latency edge infrastructure for cloud gaming. The company also launched a suite of developer tools for latency profiling, frame pacing analysis, and deterministic input pipelines to help studios optimize for cloud delivery.

StormGrid's network uses micro data centers close to population centers and provides SDKs for adaptive bitrate streaming, regional matchmaking, and session persistence. The developer tools include synthetic tests that measure end-to-end latency and recommend configuration changes for best performance.

The funding will accelerate build-out in APAC and Latin America and support partnerships with middleware providers to streamline porting console titles to the cloud. Several publishers have signed on for limited pilots ahead of broader commercialization.
