Tactile Games closed a $20 million Series A and released EchoWeave, an audio engine that dynamically adapts soundscapes, dialogue mixing, and UI cues to player choices and accessibility settings. The engine also offers authoring tools for sound designers to script audio states and transitions.
EchoWeave supports alternative audio mixes for players with hearing sensitivities, spatial audio for headphones, and runtime mixing rules that prioritize clarity for critical UX cues. Designers can preview adaptive mixes in the authoring suite and export profiles tied to narrative beats.
The company will use the funding to build middleware integrations, add cloud-based audio streaming for live orchestration, and expand accessibility presets. Narrative studios piloting EchoWeave noted improved emotional fidelity and better player comprehension of complex scenes.
