Threads adds creator monetization tools and in-app tipping

Threads now supports in-app tipping and paid subscription models that let creators gate premium posts or offer subscriber-only replies. Meta integrated these features with identity checks and revenue reporting tools to simplify payouts.

Commerce integrations enable creators to tag products in posts and link directly to partner shops or in-app checkout flows. Meta provided creators with analytics dashboards showing subscriber growth, tip volumes, and conversion funnels.

Safety and moderation controls were prioritized: creators can restrict tipping to approved accounts and set thresholds for comment moderation. Meta plans to expand revenue-share options for creators and partners later this year.
