Rather than pick one outright, the team scoped a hybrid approach: core sensing and encryption layers built natively, with a shared UI layer implemented in a cross-platform toolkit. Designers established strict platform design tokens and component behavior guidelines to maintain a consistent experience while allowing native-level performance where it mattered most.

This compromise increased initial engineering complexity but shortened iteration cycles for non-critical screens and experiments. The outcome demonstrated that when UX requires both platform fidelity and fast iteration, a layered architecture with clear ownership of UX contracts can be the best pragmatic path.
