TypeCraft raises $15M seed to scale AI-driven typography tool for brands

TypeCraft, an AI startup focused on typographic systems, announced a $15 million seed investment led by Serif Ventures. The company’s tool ingests a brand’s voice, color palette, and accessibility targets, then generates a type system with responsive scaling, pairing rules, and production-ready variable fonts.

TypeCraft integrates with popular design tools and export pipelines, producing CSS and variable-font instances that adapt across devices and languages. Its editing UI lets teams semantically tag typographic roles (e.g., lead, microcopy, promo) and apply consistent scale and rhythm across component libraries.

The funding will expand TypeCraft’s language coverage and build automated legibility tests for complex scripts. The company hopes to reduce manual typographic maintenance and make high-quality responsive typography accessible to smaller brand teams.
