TypeCraft raises $18M to launch low-code type-safe API builder for designers

The seed round was led by Foundry Lane, with participation from angel investors with backgrounds in developer tooling. TypeCraft’s platform generates OpenAPI schemas, TypeScript types, and mock servers from visual flows and component data maps.
Designers can lay out data structures in a canvas and connect them to UI components; TypeCraft produces contract-first code and integrates with CI for contract testing. The company says this approach reduces front-end/back-end mismatches and accelerates prototyping from days to hours.
The product also includes a versioned registry for schemas so teams can iterate safely. TypeCraft will open its platform for public signups next month and offers enterprise features like SSO, private registries, and guarded production keys.
