TypeLab launches TypeFlow: micro-interaction typography engine for UI animations

TypeFlow offers a library of micro-interaction patterns—fluid weight shifts, baseline micro-adjustments, and scale-with-motion animations—that are tuned for reading comfort and legibility. Designers can preview behaviors in a visual editor and export CSS, native code, or motion tokens for implementation.

The engine is built with accessibility defaults: motion presets respect reduced-motion preferences, and the toolkit adjusts timing for preserving readability during transitions. TypeLab also provides a testing harness to simulate slow-motion scenarios and evaluate negative impacts on comprehension.

TypeFlow integrates with major design tools and aims to reduce the back-and-forth between motion designers and engineers by producing production-ready code snippets and clear timing documentation. Early users from publishing and education apps appreciated the focus on readable motion.
