Unity launches Editor AI: procedural UI components and context-aware layout tools for game UIs

Editor AI can generate HUDs, menus, and inventory grids that adapt to control schemes (touch, controller, keyboard/mouse) and screen sizes. It outputs components that include prefab structure, animation states, and accessibility hints for dynamic scaling.
The workflow integrates with Unity's UI Toolkit and Animator; designers can request a menu in natural language, then refine states and transitions in the inspector. Generated UI respects performance budgets, offering lightweight variants for low-end devices.
Unity stressed that Editor AI augments, not replaces, experienced UI designers. The company is offering a free tier for smaller studios and a higher-capacity subscription for enterprise teams that need bulk generation and collaboration tools.
