Unity launches Muse: an AI animator tuned for rapid game UI prototyping

Muse integrates with Unity Editor and can synthesize interaction timelines from simple descriptions like “menu slide with bounce and reduced motion alternative.” The model outputs animation curves, keyframes, and event triggers that feed directly into Unity’s UI system, helping designers iterate on feel without scripting.

The release includes a motion library with parameterized presets, plus controls for accessibility (e.g., reduced-motion alternatives) and performance budgets so animators can balance fidelity and runtime cost. Muse also supports export into Lottie and JSON timelines for use in other engines.

Game UX teams reported faster prototyping cycles and clearer conversations with developers about required hooks and states. Unity emphasized Muse is meant to augment, not replace, motion designers — positioning it as a force-multiplier that lowers the barrier to experimenting with micro-interaction patterns early in development.
