Unreal Engine adds Stable-Cinematics module for camera-aware procedural cutscenes

Stable-Cinematics combines learned motion priors with rule-based constraints to create camera paths, blocking, and shot lists from scripts and storyboard panels. It can generate multiple variants optimized for character visibility, emotional beats, or pacing, and export directly into Unreal's Sequencer for refinement.
The tool also includes a physics-aware passthrough so generated camera moves avoid clipping and respect environmental geometry. Editors can lock character motion while regenerating cameras, or conversely, generate tentative character keyframes to test a cinematic idea quickly.
Developers working on narrative titles praised the speed gains in creating playable cinematics, though VFX and animation teams requested finer control over stylistic parameters. Epic said future releases will add tighter collaboration hooks between motion capture pipelines and the generator.
