Vanta Games raises $40M to launch modular live-op toolkit for indie studios

Vanta Games announced a $40 million Series B led by Foundry Group and the launch of VantaOps, a modular live-operations toolkit targeted at indie and mid-size studios. The product bundles event orchestration, economy balancing tools, and telemetry-driven content experiments.

VantaOps includes a visual builder for timed events, server-side economy scripting, and player-segmentation features to tailor in-game offers. It integrates with common backends and provides a managed hosting option for studios that prefer not to operate their own infra.

The company will allocate funds to expand its studio support team, build a marketplace of prebuilt event templates, and add analytics that translate engagement into retention and monetization levers. Several indie live-service titles are in early pilots.

Indie developers welcome lower-friction ops tooling, but caution about lock-in and costs. Vanta Games aims to reduce operational burdens that often force smaller teams to avoid ambitious live-service plans.
