VantaVR introduces modular headset and secures $60M Series C

VantaVR today revealed Vanta Modular, a VR headset designed for users who want to mix full-immersion gaming and productivity modes. The device features detachable optics, swappable batteries and a clip-on haptics module for tactile feedback in games and simulations.

Alongside the product launch, VantaVR announced a $60 million Series C round led by Horizon Hardware, with previous backers expanding their stakes. The company says the capital will scale manufacturing, expand its SDKs, and subsidize content partnerships for productivity apps and social VR experiences.

Developers praised the modular approach for enabling incremental upgrades and third-party peripherals. VantaVR also released a roadmap for enterprise features—trusted display, remote desktop passthrough and enterprise device management—targeting mixed-reality use cases in design review and remote collaboration.
